Train with Me at Disabled Advantage!
I have my own service dog training business, where I teach people with CRPS how to train their own service dog, from the very beginning all the way through until your dog is confidently and reliably working beside you every day. I stay with you every single step of the way, answering questions, guiding you, teaching you, helping you work through bumps along the way, and providing constant support throughout the journey. |
Caution Tip
Be wary of sites that offer quick registration or certification, along with a vest for a price. These are scams. Be cautious, too, of trainers who offer time guarantees, such as "will be a service dog with 8 weeks or 6 months of training." Or trainers who call your service dog "ready to go" before the dog is 2 years old. It takes 1-2 years to train a service dog correctly, and a dog needs to be fully matured to do the job. Trainers who train fast can turn out a service dog, but it will likely have gaps in its training that you may or may not see right away. Anyone you work with should guide you through managing and handling your own dog, and be sure that you understand how to work with your dog before calling it done.
